Lagoon maintenance is an essential part of keeping lagoons healthy and safe to use. We regularly service local lagoons during the fall.
Maintanance on lagoons involves draining the water, removing sand and replacing it with new sand, carrying out repairs on equipment, equipment, and offer repairs where needed.
Ponds enhance the beauty of an outdoor space. We’ve designed and built a number of ponds but one of our favorite is an Asian themed above-ground pond with a tiered fountain.
This client opted for a pond that is easiy to maintain, so we setup their pond equipment to connect to the garden so all the fish waste is used to fertilize the garden. This pond hardly ever needs to be cleaned out, its sustainable and meant to last for 20+ years before needing a reseal.
We work with many home owners, one of these is the home owners association located in Mission Viejo California. For over 30 years, we’ve taken care of all their aquatic needs and have kept the entire community happy by reducing the extremely toxic “golden algae” and helping the fish flourish.
We also revamped the cement-constructed fountain by adding a fresh coat of paint, new plumbing parts and pond equipment.
Whenever we build a koi pond we always ask about where the fish waste will go. Similar to that of a fish tank, a koi pond or water garden will need to be cleaned or what we call “backwashed” – the process of emptying fish waste from the filtration media.
Typical pond companies suggest to have this waste go down the drain and be discarded of, but we always suggest to have the fish waste routed to your herbs or local garden.
We specialize in custom koi pond and waterfall construction. For this project we took a corner of the client’s backyard and brough it to life with a custom koi pond.
This pond consited of more than 15,000 gallons of water dedicated to koi fish and turtles. This client loves to entertain and to show off the beautiful water feature we’ve constructed for them.
Our client Karen was redesigning her beautiful property located in the Huntington Beach Harbour, CA. She contacted us to assist her with a custom indoor pond build. The difficult part was the pond was to be located within her walkway of her house, and parallel to the pond – there is also a custom Jacuzzi. Talk about a tight-squeeze and a lot of pressure.
Luckily we’re experts at custom pond designs so although this was challenging, we amnaged to design the pond Karen was dreaming of.
